Engineering Considerations for Reliable Coil Integration
The performance and service life of a microchannel coil depend on more than its
nominal capacity. Operating temperatures, refrigerant distribution, airflow,
pressure drop, environmental exposure and connection design must be considered
during the engineering phase.
Evaporator and heat-pump projects require specific attention to refrigerant
distribution and operating conditions. Systems combining aluminium heat
exchangers with copper piping also require the connection method and installation
environment to be evaluated.
Climetal considers all these factors when defining the geometry, circuiting,
materials and connections of each coil, helping OEM manufacturers select a
configuration adapted to the actual conditions of their equipment.
